There are so many memes and quotes out there that say, “Be positive, not negative. Focus on the bright side.” I’ve never been very good at ignoring the negatives and focusing on the positives.

Call me a critical, over-analytical over-thinker if you want, but at no point in my journey of self-love and self-disco…

Some people you may know have certain things happen in their life’s which can be depressing but you see that person after a few days they are looking happy and can manage to laugh and enjoy themselves. The reason why they don’t appear to be down about life is because they’ve learnt that genuine happiness comes from the inside.

If you also want to be truly happy from within you must learn to love yourself and understand the reality you are also a human being and you are not perfect. Once you know that you are destined to make mistakes you then have to learn how to recover positively from all the mistakes you make.

True happiness goes hand in hand with contentment. In order to reduce the likelihood of you being depressed you have to be content with what you have. Be happy about your family, your work, your home and the things you own. In other words be content with what you got and learn to appreciate it.

Life has two sides to it, things that are good to us and stuff that is bad. You may either do right or do wrong, you can either win or lose and you may either pass or fail at something you are doing. What matters is how we take every situation that happens to us. If something bad happens to you should not take it serious and enable it make you depressed, instead you must learn from it to make you an improved human being.

Being genuinely happy is not determined by the number of nice stuff that happen to you. You will discover people who have lots of money but still feel depressed, you also find folks who have won so many awards but are still not totally happy with their awards.

In order to be happy from the inside at all times you have to master how to live with your faults and those of others. Learn to forgive others and move on from things that ain’t good for your thoughts. And most importantly learn to love the other person because the more love you give the more you will receive.
