Real happiness goes hand in hand with satisfaction. In order to reduce the likelihood of you being depressed you have to be content with what you have. Be content about your family, your work, your home and the things you own. In other words be content with what you have and appreciate it.

Life has two sides to it, stuff that is good to us and stuff that is bad. You can either do right or do wrong, you can either win or lose and you could either pass or fail at something you are pursuing. What matters is how we take every situation that happens to us. If something bad happens to you should not take it serious and let it make you depressed, instead you must learn from it to make you a much better person.

Being genuinely happy is not identified by the number of good stuff that happen to you. You will find those who have lots of money but still feel depressed, additionally you get people who have won lots of awards but are still not really happy with their awards.

In order to be happy from within at all times you have to learn how to live with your faults and those of other people. Learn to forgive others and move on from things that are not good for your thoughts. And most importantly learn to love one another because the more love you give the more you will get back.
